Minimum Wage Checker · Pakistan

Are you being paid at least the minimum?

Provincial notifications can lag the federal figure Each province sets its own binding minimum wage independently, and doesn't always adopt the federal government's headline number immediately. This uses the latest dated provincial notifications — always cross-check with your provincial labour department for anything you plan to act on.

How this works

Why provincial, not federal
Since the 18th Amendment devolved labour law to the provinces, each of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan sets its own minimum wage through its own Minimum Wages Board, under its own provincial Act. The federal government's Budget speech sets a headline figure and often influences provincial decisions, but it isn't itself the binding number — the provincial notification is. Provinces don't always move in lockstep or immediately.
What counts toward the minimum
These figures apply specifically to unskilled adult workers in formal industrial and commercial employment. Sindh in particular sets separate, higher rates for semi-skilled, skilled, and highly-skilled workers that this calculator doesn't cover. Agricultural, informal-sector, and piece-rate workers are often governed by different rules entirely.
Assumptions & limits
Only covers the base unskilled-worker figure — skilled-tier rates, sector-specific minimums (mining, brick-kiln, dock work, journalism), and informal-economy realities aren't modeled here. Enforcement varies significantly by province. Figures are for guidance only, not legal advice — verify against your provincial labour department's current notification for anything you plan to act on.
